How
much will we pay?
This depends on the item(s) or collection that you have for
sale. To the degree
possible, we ask that you set the price on your items. Unfortunately,
we have
found that 'make an offer' is usually just a ploy to obtain
a free appraisal, and
seldom results in anything other than wasted time and effort.
If your price allows us a reasonable profit, you've got a deal.
If not, we will give you a counter-offer if the item is of interest.
If your item is significantly undervalued, we have even been
known to pay more
than the asking price, especially when buying directly from
the veterans or antique dealers and estate buyers. The WWII
painted leather flight jacket "Wolfpack" on the left
side of the screen is an example of this. The WWII Army Air
Force veteran who owned this jacket was offered $250 for it
- we paid him $1500.
We want you to be pleased and eager to deal with us on a repeat
basis.
It is understandable that you may just have no idea about the
value or even the
correct identification of your item(s). To assist you, we have
posted listings for
a number of items from previous AGM catalogs - with their title
and the prices
that we paid for them.
